Our Maddy Bags are hand-woven in Madagascar by woman practicing fair-wages and fair-trade. Each bag is hand dyed and hand loomed using the same traditional weaving techniques learned over 100 years ago. These amazing bags are made from raffia and sisal using both natural and renewable fibers. With over 80% of the population of Madagascar living below the poverty level, it is with pride that The Peppermint Pig Boutique helps to support these amazing artists.
